Wineyard tour and wine tasting

A tour to our winery can be arranged for our guests. It represents an highlight and an unforgettable memory of the entire vacation in Tuscany!

STANDARD TOUR:

Private tour of the vineyards and cellars of the excellent family winery Fattoria Montellori, followed by a wine tasting with three wines, cheeses and the winery’s own olive oil ‘bruschettas’.

SPECIAL TOUR:

Private tour of the vineyards and cellars of the excellent family winery Fattoria Montellori, followed by a 5 courses lunch at the winery’s restaurant with tasting of three wines.

Fattoria Montellori

Fattoria Montellori winery is owned and operated by Chianti area native Alessandro Nieri. The estate where the winery is located has been in the family since the 1902s.
It is situated just below the hilltop village of Fucecchio, 30 Kms from Florence. The vineyard is scattered in the hillside around the small villages of Cerreto Guidi, Empoli and Montalbano.

After a century of growing grapes and winemaking from Chianti vines, the Winery's focus remains on varietals that are best suited to this site: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for the reds and Chardonnay and Sauvingon for the whites. Over the last 15 years there have been made extensive renovations to this estate.
These renovations have included a complete replanting of the vineyards to close-spaced red varietals and new equipment in the wine cellar with steel inox tanks, a gentle gravity-flow system and an aging room with 250 'Allier' barriques.

The 'Fattoria' has been noted for its Chardonnay sparkling wine, BRUT 'Metodo Classico, and for its age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Merlot blended Super Tuscans, MORO and SALAMARTANO.

Recently has been opened inside the winery a Restaurant where the visitors can test the wines combined with the best typical Tuscan food.
