Villa del Console, a luxury holiday villa rental in Tuscany, is dated back to the end of the19th Century. It has recently been restored throughout. Inside, the rooms are light, spacious and airy, and the “ art nouveau” furniture, as well as the original frescoes, have been mantained to preserve the original character of the villa.
On the ground floor there is an entrance hall and from there you go to left into a big living/dining area and to right into a salon with fireplace and to the kichen. Then there is a small bathroom with washin and wc only.
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, a bathroom with shower. On the second floor there is a bathroom with shower. Each double bedroom can be transformed in a twin.
At the back of the villa, just out of the kitchen, there is a wistaria-covered pergola area with table and chairs, a wood-oven and a barbecue. It is ideal for “al fresco eating”.Within the garden, in a superb position with far-reaching views, there is a beautiful swimming pool ( 12X6 mt).
Inside of the fenced property there is a barn converted into a garage for cars and bicycles (four bicycles are available for teh guests)
At only a few hundreds meters from the villa there is the ‘1800 Aqueduct’, an historical architectonic masterpiece, that still brings fresh and cool water from the mountains to the city of Lucca. And a lovely way to go the center of Lucca, in 10 to 20 minutes, is just walking or biking the old path under the Aqueduct, in a intact countryside, really far away from noises and traffic.
Maid service is included in the price, 3 hours a day, 3 days a week.
Our Staff, a pro-Cook for exclusive dinner and two girls for baby-sitter service as well as a private chauffeur are available on request
The villa is also a very convenient base for exploring Tuscany, with Florence less than 40 minutes away and both Pisa and the beaches less than 20 minutes
