Located in a very tranquil and picturesque area just north of Lucca, this beautifully restored villa is a wonderful place to call home while exploring the gorgeous countryside in this part of Tuscany. This is a large and graceful property, and the owner, a chef and sommelier, is a seasoned host who knows how to make guests comfortable.
GROUND FLOOR
The large and welcoming entry hall leads into the light and open living room with spectacular views of the surrounding Lucca hills. The room is very comfortably furnished and equipped with a state of the art entertainment setup including surround sound and a large screen projection TV. The villa is also equipped with wireless internet connection. The kitchen is just beautiful.....light-filled, fully equipped, a really lovely spot to be in, whether you're the cook or the guest. The dining room, just off the kitchen, features a large antique table and can easily accommodate 12. There is a full complement of linens, cooking and serving utensils in the villa.
FIRST FLOOR
The five double bedrooms and the single bedroom are located on the second level of the villa. All bedrooms are large, furnished with antique beds and armoires and fine linens. There are three full baths on this floor that are shared by the six bedrooms. All bedrooms are individually air conditioned.
A lower level of the villa, which opens out onto a large terrace, features a fully equipped catering kitchen and large party dining room. The owner is available, upon request, to personally prepare a special feast for you and to select the perfect wines to accompany your selected menu.
The common spaces and outside areas of this villa are remarkable........ it's a perfect spot for a wedding or anniversary celebration.
The villa's location is such that it commands sweeping views of the tuscan landscape from every side. Located on another part of the estate, a short walk down the drive, is a charming surprise.....a family of five Italian ponies who graze in their own fenced-in area and delight guests with their beauty.
A large swimming pool (14x7 meters) with a beautiful 'Gazebo', equipped with refrigerator and a bar, refines the charme of this ancient residence.
The villa's chapel is located just behind the villa and adds to the beauty of the well-kept grounds.
There is also a large olive grove, and the villa produces its own very highly rated olive oil (it has twice been awarded the highest prize by the Italian Association of Sommeliers and Oil Tasters). Guests who visit in November can actually take part in the harvest. Guests who visit at other times of the year have to be content with enjoying the fruit of November's labor!
