2 double bedrooms, sleeps 4

This elegant apartment is at the second floor of an ancient ‘Palazzo Lucchese’ (Lucchese building). It is located in the medieval part of the walled town of Lucca, at just few steps from the main church of Lucca San Martino. From the typical narrow street there is the main gate going to an inner courtyard, from where a wide stair goes to the flat, tha is approx. 120 sqm large, but it looks much bigger because of its high original beamed ceiling (over 3,5 mt high). After the entrance there is a salon with most original 'antique' pieces, table, sofas, chairs and a beautiful fireplace. From here there is access to the kitchen with a small but lovely terrace, and to one bathroom. From the salon 6 steps bring to an upper wing, with a double bedroom with studio and to a bathroom. From here a stair goes to another bathroom and to the second double bedroom. Views from the windows are really unique: the narrow typical street, the medieval Palazzos, their roofs, the churches.

Lucca is a small city with a rich history that is magically preserved. The Roman city, the medieval city, the Renaissance city, the nineteenth century city: traces of all of these may still be found here. A walk through the centre of Lucca becomes an exciting voyage through the centuries, through history. Apart from the significant monuments, such as the sixteenth-seventeenth century walls, Lucca stands out for its atmosphere and lively centre. Thanks to its strategic location in Tuscany the beautiful beaches of Viareggio, Florence and the charming '5 Terre' are very easily reachable, by train or by car.
